What are they

For years Dr. Bach carefully observed the personalities and behavior of all his patients spotting 38 psychological condition, which he researched in nature studying flowers and plants. After a series of studies and experimentation, he indicated 38 flowers, each one having some kind of analogous behavior to that of the 38 psychological conditions. During his clinical practices he started practicing official medicine less and less, and increasingly experimenting his homeopathic method, obtaining great benefits for his patients.

Method

The remedies aren't homeopathic, and though diluted they would not cause any harm to a healthy person if taken undiluted.

These remedies are prepared using flowers and plants, for "one is to seek for the healing power within the flower, especially in the spring and summer flowers, when the sun is at its maximum strength."

These flowers are picked during blossoming, when they still have the seed within them. Then they are placed on the surface of pure water, in a jar made of thin glass, and left under the sun for three days. The sun’s heat allows the vital energy in the flowers to pass on to the water. The water is then bottled with al little brandy, to preserve it.

For some flowers, the water must be boiled, filtered and then bottled.

The patient can place 2-3 drops of the medicine in 30ml. of spring water, and then place 2-4 drops of this dilution, directly under his/her tongue. Usually the dosage is of 2-3 (diluted) drops four times a day. The therapy lasts from a few weeks to 2-3 months.

Generally the prescription is not for a single remedy, but includes 3 (to a maximum of 5) remedies which are prepared together.

Unlike classical homeopathy, Bach’s remedies are not influenced by other medication and do not interfere with the effects of the medication, thus it is possible to take Bach’s remedies while following an official medicine therapy.

The remedies do not have side effects and do not cause an initial slight worsening of the symptoms (as can happen with other homeopathic remedies).
