Brief history

Edward Bach was born in Whales in 1886, and became a famous immunologist, pathologist, and bacteriologist. During the practice of clinical medicine he realized that:

Thus, Dr. Bach, divided his time between the practice of official medicine and the study of homeopathy. Following Hahnemann’s (father of homeopathy) principles which states that "one must first cure the diseased rather than the disease itself" he stated "it does not matter what the symptoms or the disease of a person may be, but first of all, it is the unbalance within the persons psyche which must be balance." In fact according to Dr. Bach diseases are "physical manifestations of negative mental states," for example anxiety, preoccupation, impatience… weaken our vitality to the extent that the body looses its natural defenses becoming vulnerable to infections (this is being confirmed by recent studies in psycho-neuro- immunology).

In the last years of his life, Dr. Bach dedicated himself completely to researching a healing method that derived from nature, which had to harmonize the mental moods of the ill. He elaborated and practiced a therapy that became known as "Dr. Bach’s flower therapy." Today this practice is studied and used by many doctors, particularly in England where Charles K: Elliott, doctor for Queen Elisabeth II, is a great advocate for this method.
